Registration
The Environment Wales registration process is a way of assessing the strengths, capacity and sustainable practices of groups who come to us for support.
It is a way of looking at the overall aims, activities and setup of a project and assessing whether it has the capacity to contribute to Environment Wales objectives and manage responsibility for volunteers, funding and potentially staff.
NB: Projects must be registered with Environment Wales before they can access our Project, Management or Training Support grant schemes.
Once a project has applied for registration, and the application has been approved, Environment Wales can offer Development Officer support for as long as the project is in existence. Other benefits of registering with Environment Wales include:
- Access to a dedicated Development Officer and the combined experience of the whole Environment Wales Development Team;
- The opportunity to join a network of over 300 registered projects across Wales and to share information, ideas and best practice;
- External recognition that the project is meeting environmental goals;
- An invitation to participate in the annual Environment Wales Environet, a free networking/ training event for all our registered projects;
- Regular newsletters and links from our web site to the projects website;
- Eligibility to apply for Environment Wales grants.
