It was established in 1980 as a local group of volunteers who wanted to campaign positively on a variety of environmental issues. Primarily Eco Centre Wales seeks to reduce society's impact on the environment, in particular its contribution to global warming and unnecessary climate change. This is only possible by taking steps to reduce demand on the environment, due to energy use, and making changes to the way society lives so that it reduces its reliance on fossil fuel based energy.
