Training Support Grants
Training Support Grants aim to support the training of staff and volunteers working to promote sustainable development and the environment.
Wherever possible, those supported on training courses are expected to disseminate any resulting knowledge or skills within their organisation, so as to maximise the effectiveness of the grant.
Eligibility
• Applications must relate to a group's
Environment Wales-registered project;
• Eligible costs include travel, subsistence and fees for courses or
events run by third party organisations;
• Occasionally, grants may be offered to help a group organise its
own training course (through contracting an external trainer), if a need can be
demonstrated.
Ineligible Costs
• Courses run "in-house" by the
organisation's own staff;
• Costs associated with routine events or conferences, which could be
considered to form part of the normal affairs of the organisation;
• Environment Wales will not normally
support multiple attendances by staff and/or volunteers from the same organisation at the same event, unless a
special need can be demonstrated;
• Environment Wales cannot support individuals to achieve academic
qualifications.
Grant Limit
Training Support Grants can be up to a maximum of
£400.
