Pre-Project Grants

Pre-Project grants aim to support the costs of hiring specialists and consultants to undertake studies or appraisals that will lead to a practical project that meets with Environment Wales aims. A copy of the report of any such study must be submitted to Environment Wales.

Eligibility
• To be eligible for Pre-project funding, groups must be constituted;
• The grant can support a variety of pre-project studies, including feasibility studies, design studies, ecological surveys, community appraisals and business plans;
• The work must be done by external consultant(s) or specialists.

Non eligible costs
• Funding will not be provided for academic studies or theoretical exercises, nor where the proposed study is to be conducted "in-house" i.e. by staff already employed by the applicant organisation.

Grant Limit
• Pre-Project grants can be up to a maximum of £4,000
